I'm a fan of Di Gi Charat, an incredibly short and silly anime about, well, a little girl coming from space to work inside a video game store. Hey, it doesn't need to make sense to be funny, and it's really not unoriginal or cliche at all. It also parodies anything and everything.
Anyway, a few hours ago, after watching an episode, I just started tracing and coloring in a still frame of Dejiko, the star of the show because I felt like it. It turned out rather well, here is the original if you want to compare.
The linework is sort of dodgy, but eh, let's blame drawing bitmap art with a mouse.
I'm trying to learn a bit more about shading stuff, so feedback on that part is appreciated. About the form or general design, I didn't really make them so feedback about that wouldn't do me much good.

I need to redo the tracing though... and maybe learn to do a bit of cartoon shading.

And thanks but no thanks, when I join too many communities I start losing track of them.
